April 20 Adoption things get on the move!

This morning we had our physical therapist here. Issaac is starting to take a few steps if..."encouraged". He isn't balancing, or standing alone, but he is learning to shift his weight from one hip to the other. Yay!  :-)  Tomorrow we will fit his little braces for his feet.  They are hoping that with a little help his feet will flatten out, and toes will stop curling under.  Sweet little mocha colored toes.

Then we had our first meeting with our adoption worker.  I think we will work really will together. She seems to have a great grasp of everything we will need as well as a timeline, which is what was exciting to me!  We will go to court on June 16 to testify. Then the hard stuff will be over. And on to fun court dates. :-D

We got "the call" today.   "Hi, this is Andy, we have a referral for two little people. 7mo, and 2yrs. What we know so far is, the dad is in Vegas. The mom says she just can't handle being a mom anymore.  There are no known medical issues. There are two older kids, they are trying to place them separately. Are you interested?"  Can you imagine?  Four children, 5yrs and under. A mom who just can't handle it anymore, and then being split into two groups?  Of course I called David, and of course he said yes.  :-) I love my husbands and his heart for loving children.
I called her back  and said yes, but expressed my heart ache for having to split them up.  An hour later I received a second call. "We are going to call the Foster Director and see if we can get special permission to allow 8 children in your home, (including your own)."  Another hour and still no word.
We are praying for those for little people. Praying that they are in a good home that will love them through this process.
