May 5th and 9th Doctor Drama

Within the first two weeks of a new placement the kiddos have to be seen for well child checks.  Finding a ped that is accepting medi caid is hard, finding one that will accept four new patients and get you in, in the next week is... Miraculous.
Our babysitter was a little early, (praise the Lord!) I feel like I'm really getting into a good groove until it comes time to leave the house!   I'm running around looking for that lost shoe, having Trey run back and forth to the car with babies and bags...realizing that I didn't do my own hair!
Ugh

On Thurs it was the big girls turn. Weight, height, hearing all normal. When it was time for the vision screening things got interesting. Asking the 5 almost 6yr old, "Do you knows your ABC's?" "Sure!" she says. "Great! What letter its this then?" Silence.   I say, "She means she knows the ABC's song." The nurse says, "What about your shapes and colors?" Again, silence. She ended up testing at the 3yr old level.
Next it was time for the physical part. All was well until it came time for shots. {{{shiver}}}
The 5yr old was ok, there were tears but then it was over. The 4yr old was another story. I held her down, she screamed, so they called another nurse in. the next two shots were worse than the first. The fourth shot, she jerked so hard that the needle tore through her skin and sprayed me all down one side with the vaccine. Yuck! Poor baby she has been so sore ever since.  In two months when it is time to go back for more... There will be lots of bribing involved.  :-)
The babies were both seen as well and are both doing fine. We were given prescriptions for the baby to be evaluated and treated by our fantastic physical therapist.
