May 1st, 2nd and 3rd Hard stuff

Sunday a sweet friend from church said, "You know, when people have babies in the church, or are going through something we like to provide meals... Would that help?"   Seriously, made me cry. How thoughtful!
That night I wrote a close friend to ask how they were, I had missed then somehow at church.  I received a letter back, detailing concerns, and legalities.  You know when a letter starts with, "I've been praying about how to respond to you."  It's going to be hard stuff.  You have friends that you vent to, that you bear it all with, and then they say you're not being a responsible parent...
The letters were back and forth, I cried, prayed, cleaned...   I called my friend that I always go to with matters of the heart, or in matters of snack crisis. ;-)  She let me cry, ball actually... When I was done she said, "Did you and David pray about theses babies?" Of course we did. "This is between you and David and God.  It's not between her and you."  Well that was it.  What more is there? Are you obeying God? Then quit worrying about men!
God has really been impressing His provision on me this last week.
¤We don't have the room here.My father in law offered to come up and finish the basement!
¤ With the extra children I worry about ours getting "lost" in the shuffle. We have rearranged sleeping arrangements and schedules so that each of our children is getting personal special times.
¤ We don't have a car that can transport all of us together.
God has been lining up people to come to us and watch two or three little people at a time. (we are still praying for a passenger van)
¤ Meal time has been really overwhelming.  People in our church have been lining up to help with anything I will accept. Meals, helpers, time.
If we had said no to this placement, we would not have been able to see God work in our lives in such amazing ways. We worked not have been able to teach our children obedience, faith, and sacrifice, in such a tangible way.  We do not regret obeying God's call. And we will not be deterred by concerns of men. We will obey, believe and have faith.

  2. What you said about "If we had said no to this placement, we would not have been able to see God work in our lives in such amazing ways," rings so true. I am thinking of Gideon hiding in the wine press (understandable in the face of persecution) Yet the Lord calls him a "valiant warrior (Love how God sees beyond our weaknesses), then He has Gideon gather an Army (sets large tasks in front of us), but tells him he has too many soldiers, and keeps reducing them (the Lord loves to be the one to show us that He provides, and loves to make sure we can't take the credit.... He does it over and over doesn't He . Hungry
multitude... a few loaves and fishes... no problem for Him. He's awesome. Your right on target Danielle.
    Love you so much,
    Pam

  3. Lisa, this has been all God! There its no way in my own power that I could have orchestrated things so perfectly!
Miss Pam, You are so right! If we had plenty of rooms, money in the bank and a nanny, it wouldn't be a testimony to His provision. Yuo are always such an encouragement!
    Love you!

On your note - the friend you called in "matters of the heart or snack crisis" (<--loved that) ;) was DEAD ON!! It doesn't matter what those other people think. This is where God called YOU, NOT them! Keep up the faith, run the race, great is YOUR reward in heaven! <3

    Love you!!
