8-2 Blanket Time

The baby having blanket time.

Lou-lou stringing foam beads

I am really working on school around here. When it was just the 4 of us at home during the day it was so much more simple.  Instead of missing those days, and being home-sick for our old life I have been making a conscious effort to live this life, today, for all it's worth.  So we are bringing back blanket time.
Blanket time is when I need to focus on the two bigger boys, and NEED the little three to entertain themselves.   At garage sales, and under my own sinks there are treasures for little hands.  Here is a little list of the fun things that only come out of hiding during blanket time.

Foam Beads with a soft rubber needle and lan-yard lacing to string them in groups of colors and shapes
Coloring books that haven't been "abused" yet  ;-)
A collection of re-usable sticker books
A what comes next book
A bug sorting game
Animal Dominoes
Real dominoes
Baby/Mommy animal matching puzzle
Polly Pockets
Miniature Legos

A couple of Mui Importante notes about blanket time.  SEPARATE the children, preferable so they can't see each other under the table.  Do NOT bring out the blanket toys at ANY OTHER time during the day.
NEVER NEVER assume that being quiet is equal to being good.  :-D
