Crockpot Italian Chicken

Ok, so we have more exciting news about the house re-do... But I'm waiting for permission to post it. ;-) Soooo meanwhile, here's a recipe for ya! A "fool proof, never fails, your pickiest kid WILL eat it" recipe!

I adapted this recipe from "the girl who ate everything" blog.

Crockpot Italian Chicken
Ingredients

8 chicken breasts
2 packets dry Italian dressing seasoning.
2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
2 large cans cream of chicken soup (depending how cream cheesy you want it)

Instructions

Place the chicken in a crockpot and sprinkle Italian dressing over it. Combine cream cheese and cream of chicken soup in a small pot over low heat and pour over chicken. Cook on low in the crockpot for at least 4 hours. You can leave it in there all day. Once chicken is done you can leave the chicken breasts whole, cube it, or even shred it. I always cut the breasts into tenderloin size strips.
Once you have cut up the chicken, throw it back in the crockpot and stir into the sauce. If you feel the sauce is too thick you can thin it to your preferred consistency with a little milk. Serve over pasta or rice. We use Bowie noodles, and they are very pretty!
I keep thinking I'll add bacon or dried tomatoes... Mmmmm

Look how cute she is, and she LOVES it!

  1. That looks really, really good. I love all your recipes; I meant to tell you that before. The chicken and mashed potatoes one you posted a couple of posts back looked really yummy too. I think bacon and the tomatoes added to this would be yummy too... although this hits my comfort food button just as is... MMM.
    Love you bunches,
    Pam
