June 12-14th

This is the second Sunday in a row that we haven't been able to make it to church! I don't like missing church, but think about this for a minute... One child comes home from the store with the sniffles, two days later two more have fevers... Within a week six of them are sick. Just when you think you've pine-sol-ed the heck out of any virus left in the house, the last two start to get whiney and cranky. Anyway... Armed with allergy pills, sunglasses, hats and sunscreen my David and our oldest decided to attack the beast that is our yard. front yard. ;-) I'm so proud to have a 9 yr old that wants to work side by side with his daddy. He was hot and sweating but refused to let David work out in the sun alone. The 13th was uneventful. Therapy, lunch, laundry, quiet time. The 14th I had a phone call. "Hi, this is "Laurie" from ----county." Not usually a good opening. She says, "We have another referral here." (that's social worker speak for an allegation) I say, "Ok, what are we going to do about it?" We set up a time and date to meet here at the house. She thinks it can be cleared up quickly, and that it was made by someone we are already familiar with. They are threatening to take a "malicious reporting" charge to her doorstep. She will be here tomorrow evening. Tonight we are just trying to remind ourselves we did nothing wrong, so we have nothing to fear.
