A day of rest

The last few weeks have been so busy!
It seems like everytime we think, "ok, today, we'll stay in jammie's, eat cereal, and watch movies, just really relax." Something happens!  Someone's getting married. Contractors are coming to work.  Roofers are returning.
Until this morning.
We all got up, got dressed and headed out the front door for church.  That's when it hit David!  We were out of gas in the big van!  Furthermore, we had just spent our gas budget driving down to attend a wedding! (Which by the way we wouldn't have missed for the world!!! Later post...)
We could have scrambled, scratched up some extra money, gone through pockets and couch cushions. ;-)  But  instead we decided to head back into the house, and take this as a "slow down" signal.  I doled out the cereal, and headed back outside with my camera to enjoy the new garden while my hubby watered his little plant-lings. :-)
Personally I enjoy the busy-ness.  I love the people coming and going.  I thrive with new friends around!
But some of our little people don't do so well, and now that a few of them have ear infections, even less so.
Today was good.  Today was quiet.  Tomorrow we can hit it again.
 Today we were still.

  1. Its always nice to have a day of rest. And, you are probably one of the busiest of them all. Glad you have your quiet moments to rest and soak it all in. I just love seeing all your photos. Thanks for taking the time to share.
    Blessings,
